How do I log an interaction with a client?

Record calls, emails, meetings, and notes on a client's profile so the full relationship history lives in one place, with optional follow-up tracking.

Written by Justin Bossi

To log an interaction, open the client's profile, go to the Notes & Activities section, and click Add Note.

Add an interaction:

  1. Open the client's profile and scroll to (or expand) Notes & Activities.

  2. Click Add Note.

  3. In the Add Interaction dialog, fill in:

    • Type: Call, Email, Meeting, or Note

    • Date: defaults to today

    • Summary: a short one-liner (required)

    • Notes: longer detail (optional)

  4. (Optional) In the Follow Up Details section, set a Follow Up Date and mark Follow Up Completed if you want to track a next step.

  5. Click Save Interaction.

Where it shows up:

The interaction appears in the client's Notes & Activities feed with an icon for its type (phone, envelope, message, calendar), the summary, the date, your notes, and (if set) the follow-up date with a Pending or Completed chip.

Filter and sort the feed:

  • Filter by type: All Types, Call, Email, Meeting, or Note.

  • Sort: Newest First or Oldest First.

Empty state:

"No notes or activities yet. Log a call, email, or meeting to keep this client's history in one place."
